Clubs
We have numerous school clubs running during the year. A current list can be obtained from the school office or downloaded below. The clubs change with the seasons and due to demand. They can include film, high five, badminton, art, skate and scoot, construction (Lego), rounders, choir, drama, multi skills, football, gardening, cooking, IT, craft and our very popular first aid programme. The sports clubs often include the opportunity to represent the school in one of our teams and to compete in various leagues, cup competitions and friendly matches. Clubs are provided by members of staff, sports professionals and community volunteers. We also have lunchtime clubs for the younger children in the school which are run by the older children or adults.
The other clubs which run after school are intended to enrich the children’s experience of school - they involve learning new skills and offer opportunities to socialise with peers and staff in a different context. The clubs are most effective and rewarding, for children and staff, when children are able to commit to regular attendance. We ask for a minimal contribution of £1 per week to encourage regular attendance and to go some way to buying resources for the clubs. If you have any questions about charging (for example if the school has to cancel a club) then please ask at the school office.
